The Story Behind the Weave:
This rug comes from a village near the Middle Atlas Mountain, where four women, Malika, Nadia, Hanan, and Zahra worked together to make this unique Hanbel x Beni Ourain mixed rug.
This piece is a living testament to the powerful history of this village. In Ait Yadine, the weaving tradition is nurtured by the women passing the skills down from generation to generation.
This traditional hand-knot style has been modernized by incorporating unique Flatweave lines which creates a mesmerizing dimension to the rug.
This piece was woven with 100% “live”, undyed wool, which the women brushed, carded and spun.
This rug is as comfortable and cozy as it looks.
