The Story Behind the Weave:
This rug comes from a village outside Kalaat M'Gouna, where two women, Mina and Zahara worked together to make this unique Hanbel x Beni Ourain mixed rug.

The traditional “Beni Ourain” rug is named after the regional name that includes 17 Berber tribes, all living among the Atlas Mountains. This is the most common style of Moroccan rugs, but while they usually share geometric design elements, each tribe has its own signature style.

This piece is extra unique as the Hanbel border gives this rug another layer of dimension.

It is made fromnatural, undyed wool of black and white sheep—it feels just as plush and comfortable as it looks.
