Nadia and Hanan spent 3 weeks on this one-of-a-kind rug. Made from 100% "live" sheep’s wool, which the women carded, spun and dyed themselves. The base color comes from undyed wool while the symbol in the middle comes from naturally dyeing the wool with coffee grounds. The symbol in the middle is thought to represent a bird, which represents positivity.The abstract design exudes modernity yet embodies thousands of years of weaving tradition.
