The Story Behind the Weave:
This rug was woven by Fatima.
Fatima belongs to the Timnay Association a group of women weavers located in the Sioura region of Morocco.
Kerbia, pictured, who is the leader of the association explained that this rug took Fatima two to three months complete.
Made of 100% wool from the local village sheep, the women of the association carded, brushed and spun the wool by hand.
The pistachio hue comes from a local plant found in the surrounding area, a thorny plant that we couldn't find the translation for.
The geometric designs woven intricately together will bring warmth to any room.
