The Story Behind the Weave:
This rug was woven by a group of artisans who reside in a village just outside of Beni M'rirt which is located within the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Pictured is Soukina, one of the members of the association.
Made up of 100% wool, the varying caramel colors were dyed using a mix of local plants.
The traditional Beni M’rirt rug contains a thick knot which allows for their rugs to feel extra plush.
