We’ve made it our mission to highlight the techniques, symbolism, and tradition behind the pieces we source and the artisans who make them.
Our mission is to preserve and share the tradition and symbolism—from our artisans’ hands to your home.
An artisan spends months carefully crafting a rug. We meet with the artisans behind each weave to discuss the time and labor behind the piece.
Each step of the weaving process is rich with tradition and meaning;—from harvesting and dyeing the wool, constructing the loom, to the final design of the weave.
Weaving techniques vary throughout all of Morocco. Across the different tribes, regions, and villages, many different styles can be found.
According to tradition, the storied weaving process gives the textiles magic, protective qualities.
