The Story Behind the Weave:
This Hand-knot rug is woven by sisters, Fatima & Naima.

Fatima and Naima in collaboration with their mom lead a beautiful collective of women artisans just outside of Tazenakht.

Made from 100% live wool, Naima and Fatima carded, brushed, and spun the wool by hand.

In more traditional rug design the symbolism is often representative of well wishes for the artisan's life or those surrounding her. This rug includes shapes that are thought to represents scissors, spiders, birds, barely and frogs to name a few. In the Amazigh culture it's thought those shapes symbolize respect, magic, positivity, and fertility.

These types of details give this Hand-Knot an extra layer of beauty that will bring  protection to any home.
