Kebira's Marbled Zanafi x Hand-Knot - Salam Hello

This rug was handwoven by Kebira and the artisans of the Timnay Association.

The Timnay Association is located in the N'kob village and its artisans belong to the Ait Ouaghrda tribe.

This mixed technique rug is made of 100% wool from the local sheep of the village, Kebira carded, brushed and spun the wool by hand.

While the border of the rug uses natural, undyed wool, the hand-knotted portion of the rug uses a multi-step process of dyeing the wool to achieve the variation of blue hues.

Timnay Association

The Timnay Association is located in the N'kob Village on the foothills of the Siroua mountain range. The majority of artisans belong to the Ait Ouaghrda Tribe. The Association was founded in the 1980s. Today, it has 15 artisans working in the collective, which is run by Kebira. They produce a wide variety of weaves, from low hand-knot to intricate hanbels.
